Medical Direction and Online Program Management

What is an AED Program?

An AED (Automated External Defibrillator) requires ongoing maintenance and management. Whether you’re a small company with one AED located at the office, or a large corporation with hundreds of AEDs spread out across the country, Citywide CPR has the AED program management tools you need to properly monitor your devices and ensure your AED is ready when you need it.

Laws governing the use of AEDs vary state by state with regard to training, registration, AED placement, and physician oversight requirements. By enrolling into our Medical Direction and Online Program Management system, you have the comfort in knowing that Citywide CPR will help you keep your device(s) in compliance with your state’s legal requirements and mandated obligations, while reducing your exposure to potential liability. Overall, our AED program ensures proper accountability and guarantees total compliance.

Regardless of the number of units, or locations of your facilities, you can be rest assured with our AED Program Management system you will receive professional and continuous ongoing support for the life of your program.

What is Medical Direction?

Sometimes also referred to as “medical oversight”, AED Medical Direction encompasses the involvement of a state-licensed physician in your AED program. Our national team of physicians provide overall medical guidance to ensure all legal and medical aspects of your program are on point and in compliance. Medical direction mitigates risk and provides peace of mind, knowing that our program has you covered and that your devices will be ready to go in the event of an emergency.

In the event your AED is used in a medical emergency, all it takes is a few clicks to provide basic event information through the online program management tool, initiating an AED usage report, and call our medical team into action. Once you report the incident, a loaner AED will be shipped to you, ensuring that you’re work site is still protected. Once you receive the loaner, simply ship the used device back to us. Our support team will complete the necessary maintenance on the device to ensure it is ready to go back in service. At the same time our medical team will prepare a complete report based on the information you provide and the data collected in the device. Your device is returned, ready for action. The report is available any time through the online tool, and we are available to provide post-event consultation as needed.

With licensed physicians overseeing your entire AED program, you can feel secure in knowing we have you covered. You can also take comfort in knowing that our knowledgeable and professional staff members are part of your AED management team.

What is Online Program Management?

Manage your AEDs online, with an easy-to-use web-based platform. This system provides you with real time status of all your AEDs, their location and monthly inspection history, while keeping you informed of upcoming expiration of pads and batteries. In addition, the system also tracks and informs you of when your responder’s CPR certifications are due to expire.

Every aspect of your AED program, right at your fingertips! Our online program management tool provides everything you need to keep your finger on the pulse of your AED program, wherever they may be. Once enrolled, the system tracks all critical device information including serial number, location, inspection status, and expiration dates for pads and batteries. In addition, you can also track the human components of your program, such as site coordinators, active responders, and training renewal dates.

Recording your monthly inspections literally takes just a couple minutes. There is no need to remove the device from it’s secure location. Simply complete a visual inspection, recording your answers to a few simple questions with a few clicks, and you’re done. No unnecessary handling of the device means that the device is ready when you need it.

Enrollment is quick and easy, often within the same business day that you provide the necessary information through our 1-page enrollment form. No software required, nothing to install, the entire program is safe and secure in our system and accessible to you 24x7x365.
