Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED Online Part 1 is a Web-based, self-directed course. The course teaches students critical skills and knowledge needed to respond to and manage a first aid or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. Content includes how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies, as well as perform CPR and use an AED.
With this eLearning Option, participants will receive the same exact American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid, CPR and AED certification and certification card. The only difference is students watch the videos at home (that they would otherwise have seen in class). Upon successful online completion, students come to an “in-person” skills session with our AHA Instructor.
eLearning courses include three parts. Part 1 is the online portion that can be completed at work, home, or wherever you have Internet access. Parts 2 and 3 includes a hands-on skills practice and testing session conducted in-person with a Citywide CPR American Heart Association Instructor.
