Columbia BLS Provider Classes  BLS Provider classes are for healthcare professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings. Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers is a certification class for doctors, nurses and others who work in the medical profession or in clinical areas, including nursing students and EMTs or healthcare providers renewing their current BLS certification. Choose the traditional course in a 3.5 hour classroom setting, or complete the self-directed online portion from the American Heart Association and complete a skills session.

Columbia CPR/AED Classes Heartsaver CPR/AED classes are for individuals who need to know adult and child CPR and AED use, and how to relieve choking in adults and children. CPR/AED is a certification course for personal trainers, fitness professionals, physical/massage therapists and others who do NOT work in any clinical areas. Choose the traditional course in a 3 hour classroom setting, or complete the self-directed online portion from the American Heart Association and complete a skills session.

Columbia First Aid/CPR/AED Classes Heartsaver First Aid CPR and AED classes are for individuals needing to learn critical skills necessary to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies. The First Aid/CPR/AED training course is for personal trainers, fitness professionals, physical/massage therapists, and others who do NOT work in any clinical areas who are required to be certified in First Aid

Columbia First Aid Classes  In this Heartsaver First Aid class, students learn first aid actions for medical emergencies, including severe choking, heart attack, and stroke; and skills for handling injury and environmental emergencies, including external bleeding, broken bones and sprains, and bites and stings.

Columbia Pediatric First Aid,CPR and AED Classes This Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid, CPR and AED class is designed to meet the regulatory requirements for child care workers in all 50 U.S. states. It teaches child care providers and others to respond to illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives.

Columbia Bloodborne Pathogens Classes This Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens class teaches students how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials. This class is designed to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction

Our CPR certification programs in Columbia include First Aid, CPR, AED, Bloodborne Pathogens, BLS Provider and Pediatric First Aid, CPR/AED training. Classes are taught by one of our American Heart Association Instructors and are offered in both a traditional or online blended learning format. AHA certification cards are valid for two years, with the exception of a Bloodborne Pathogens certification, which is valid for only one year.

For advanced certifications, you can get your ACLS Provider certification  (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) or PALS Provider certification (Pediatric Advanced Life Support). iEither of these can be obtained through traditional or online blended learning formats.
